The experiment: To see if Arrow could go camping and not drive everybody crazy.
I’m happy to report the experiment was a failure. Not all of it but enough.
Arrow had a good time. He liked camping. He was even good in the tent at night. Only barked once or twice. I joined him so he wouldn’t feel lonely. But we shut up as soon as our humans work up.He loved eating leftover human food.
He passed hole digging too. And he liked hiking in the woods.
He swam in the freezing water in a mountain creek.
Then he excelled at roaching.Arrow did climb on the table. Got a bag of cookies off the picnic table. My mom spotted us before we could share them.
The bad part was his barking and squealing. If my mom left the tent early in the morning, he yapped and cried until she came back. Very bad.
Then he squealed and barked (a lot) when he saw other doggies. It was the 6:00 A.M. really loud, high pitched yapping that did him in.
Here he is refusing to get back in the car. But he didn’t even barf in his cage all the way home. Still, I prefer being the only doggie and having him spend the weekend in City Bark.

w00f''s Deefor and Arrow, well it sounds to me like arrow did pretty good...me likes to bark too, esp iffin me sees cats, squeerls and kids...u just gotta member when u takes arrow to camp way off from the other campers...

poor little Arrow - just not a very happy camper. humans do not like that early morning barking. well, you probably have fun at City Bark anyway (we hope).

Oh Deefor, looks like you had great walkies. It's also great that Arrow is such a river rat, too bad he likes to bark. I know you'll teach him well.

Good to know Arrow faired quite well at camping. Maybe he just doesn't like being left alone. I know I don't hee...
I love camping. I get to sleep in my Land Rover and only bark at other dogs or cats or creatures of the night.
Will Arrow get a 2nd chance to do the experiment again?

Oh, too bad Arrow failed Camping 101. Maybe there is a Camping 001 he can try. He does seem to be a really good hiker and swimmer though. Maybe he should just go on day trips for now.

Day trips for Arrow sound good so you can have him with you. He looks like he's really enjoying all the activities. Waking campers up too early isn't good though. The weather looks like it was nice, too.

That is good Arrow didn't barf all the way home and it looks like he had a really good time. Gizmo barks and whines all the time when mum leaves the room. He never shuts up. Must be a lil dog thing.

So does that mean Arrow doesn't go camping anymore or does that mean your parents are going to work with him to get him not to bark? I hope it means you're th only cmaping dog in the family! I like being the only dog that gets to go camping.

Oh well, at least they tried. Now you can be sure you'll always get to camp in peace. And who knows, maybe Arrow likes it better at the doggie spa anyway.

Sounds like what my Mom would do if you took her camping. SHe is not a big camping fan!
That camping looks like great fun -especially the stream. But I could see how a little dog barking at 6 in the morning would ruin the peacefulness of the woods. I guess Arrow found it all too exciting.
