Camping

I went camping! The thing about camping is Arrow doesn't go!! He barks a lot when he hears stuff outside and tries to knock down the tent if someone goes out without him. It's good for me. I get more special camping food. The humans like to recycle all their leftovers so a bear doesn't attack them at night. I am really very important at the camp site. We have NEVER been attacked by a bear.

A long ride in the car. (My humans found the window lock so I can only hang out sometimes.)

We got to the camp place and got the tent all up. Then we went for a little walk to check out a trail near our campsite. My humans are the only campers in Colorado who don't fish but they like to get wet. They just don't wear waders.

We were ready to go to a lake and swim but it started raining. Nap time in the tent. Very cuddly.

I learned how to open the zippers on the tent door with my nose.

I have my own doggie door!

Sunday I took my humans on a few pretty long hikes. I was sorry Arrow didn’t come. He would have liked to swim in the stream and jump around on the trails. I almost missed him.

My humans said maybe we can bring Arrow next time. The campsites are so far apart maybe no one will know who has the annoying barking doggie.

hi Deefor, that looks like a pretty nice camping trip except for the rain! you're a pretty smart dog to make your own doggy door out of the tent! we wish that Arrow could come and keep you company. maybe he can keep his mouth full of treats and that would keep him from barking.

woofs.

Hey Deefor,
You're quite the camper! Great job keeping the bears away, it must be hard work to suck up all the leftover foodables.

Deefor,

You are lucky to get some alone time with your humans. It pays to be a well behaved dawg (I don't fall under those guidlines unfortunately...) It's nice of you to think of Arrow though. I'm sure he would have been in that stream the whole time!

Hi Deefor,
It's so cool that you went camping with your humans.. Umm I think I am like Arrow.. I tend to bark at everything and anything..
Maybe you can take him swimming the whole day so that he is all tired out by the time you go back to the campsite?!!
Great job for keeping those bears away!

As long as you had fun, little dude. I don't know about that back to nature stuff myself, but you seemed to enjoy it.

So you're Deefor, huh? We are more than pleased to meet ya! Saw your name on the sidebar over at Asta's World, and hopped right over to introduce ourselves. We're Colorado dogs, ourselves, though we call Florida home in the summer! (Go figure!)

We'll be back to catch up on your blog, and invite you to come over and visit us! We've sorta knew here, though we have managed to make a lot of friends that we see here in your neck of the woods!

Camping.... hmmmm.... we'll be talking to Moma and the Girl about that!

Jake and Fergi

Hi! I have a blog at www.picturecamping.com where I feature people's blog posts about tent camping, and I'd like to feature yours, if your humans agree to it.

Thanks for considering this,

Deefor, keeping the bears away from your tent really is a very important job, and it pays well. I bet Arrow would really like to share that kind of work with you!
