Swim

Today we went for a swim. I love running around in the park. It’s the Witness Protection Doggie Park. We got in trouble in some of the others, but they don’t know us here.

Arrow said hello to a nice brown doggie.

And I did too.

Arrow introduced me to a cute little shih-tzu named Max.

Arrow can be very annoying. Max was too polite to tell Arrow off.

And in the end. Failure. Growlure. Shame. Back on the leash while Arrow frolicked with the big guy.

Arrow the Sun Worshipper

I decided to blog for Deefor. He just sleeps all day. That's the real reason he doesn't blog much.

I love to sit in the sun. Even inside.

We have no yard. I’ve escaped a few times so the humans fenced in the balcony. Nothing like a little chicken wire to spruce up the place.

And a baby gate blocking the stairs. I think I could get over it. If I really wanted to.

I like to relax and work on my tan out here. I listen to the birds. Sometimes I bark at stuff.

And when it gets too hot, I cool off my chin on the step.

Issues

I always wanted to be a therapy doggie. I could cheer people up by licking them. And I wouldn’t bite them unless they have wire brushes. (Arrow's smirking cause he doesn't get pulled around by the nose.)

Instead I’m in therapy. For growling and biting people with wire brushes, and other things like attacking nice big doggies and nipping at a little boy. (I’m sorry)

I have group therapy early in the morning at the dessert doggie park. It’s mostly sand and it smells delicious. We drive there almost every day. Most of the time I am charming and cordial to all the doggies I meet. A real gentledog. Some are my friends now.

Arrow comes along. I even let him sit with me—sometimes. Maybe I’m being TOO nice.

Hi

Now that my humans have (finally) put away their snowboards, maybe I can some computer time. This break wasn't my idea. I was mostly sleeping the winter away. Or wrestling with Arrow.

In spring (maybe year round) a young dog's fancy turns to thoughts of what else he can destroy.

He tried recycling and got tangled up in a bag.

He's got a new chew toy that he thinks is delicious.

And he told me wicker is very tasty. My mom got really mad about her shoe situation. Sandals are his favorite. I can't even show you what he did. She buried them in the dumpster and bought new ones. (After crying.)

Not much news. I go for walkies with a nose leash now cause I pulled my mom down on the ice. There's no more ice but the sadists I live with are addicted to pulling me around by the nose.

I'm gonna try to get back to visiting all my doggie bloggie friends. I missed you so much.

Keeping Busy

My mom felt bad that my life was so boring. Now my humans are taking me with them more. And letting me run around free sometimes.

I can run down the scary stairs now.

On weekends the humans are using this big pot to make the house smell yummy. It has stuff for me in it!

Bones make my eyes light up.

Arrow came to the mountains with us this weekend and my mom gave him some of this. (You notice there's a picture of a terriorist on it-- no offense to all my sane terrier friends. )

I think it’s working. He is so calm, he disappeared into the couch. Like a throw pillow.

Deefor's Depressed

Chewie gave me a very nice award. Thanks Chewie. I love the lady bugs. They remind me of Arrow at the doggie park! (Maybe I love him-- but not THAT way)

I have had a very boring time. My mom is very bad. She took Arrow to the doggie park and left me home!!

He came back tired and smelling like lots of doggie friends. Very unfair.

Me? I sleep a lot. I watch my fur grow back. I chew on old bones.

Sometimes I watch people fishing while my humans run around in the snow!

I put away groceries. But do you think my humans appreciate my help? HA! I need to put some excitement in my life. Any suggestions?

The New Me

WARNING: Gross graphic descriptions of doggie stuff

We were all sick. First my bearded owner got a bad cold. Then I started pooping a lot. The squirts. And throwing up. Then my mom got the cold. Next Arrow started throwing up.

The vet gave me three shots and lots of pills. Now I feel better. Arrow had some Pepto-Bismol in his food! I don’t think he liked it. Poor Arrow. I have a pill mashed up in my food. I can taste it a little.

We haven’t had a lot of treats either. The vet said it could be something I ate. (Tasty dried up poop jerky in the mountains? I doubt it.) She said I had a fever too. Maybe I gave it to Arrow. Poor guy. (I don’t like to give him anything. Especially bones and chews.) Now we're all doing better.

I was taking a nap when my mom brought me to a new groomer. My old one was too busy and I was full of big knots.

The new groomer wasn't bad. This is the new me. I think I like it. I wasn't sure at first. No brushing for a while.

Here I am waiting patiently as my bearded owner mixes sausage into my doggie food. My friend Alexander barked at me yesterday. He didn’t recognize me.

Shows off my figure. I look like a lion now. I hope that doesn't scare the humans in Denver.

The Secret Life of Arrow

I asked Justin to spy on Arrow so I could see what he does when I’m not around. Arrow stays in Denver when I go to the mountains. Some of the shots are blurry because Arrow is fast and Justin had to be sneaky to get these candid shots.

Arrow helps with the laundry when he’s alone.

He sorts the underwear and he has a thing for socks.

Arrow takes stuff out and arrange it on the rug. He’s very artistic.

He reads! And he made this pretty paper thing—a bandarita I think. Maybe Lorenza knows. Then he ate some of it.

My mom came home and put his cage by the door. He knew something was up.

She brought him up to the mountains! An experiment cause the landlord lives in the same house and thinks we only have one quiet doggie—ME! The pack is reunited.

Here he is waiting for me to come in from my walkie and checking out the traffic on Route 70. That was my New Year Surprise! And Arrow's too! (Maybe the landlord's too!)
